Molasses Smoothie
5 pitted prunes
1 medium banana, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 cups vanilla soymilk, low-fat
1 tbs blackstrap molasses
¼ tsp ground cardamom
3 ice cubes
How to cook:
Place prunes in small bowl
and cover with hot tap water. Let rest for 5 minutes or until
plump. Drain. Combine plumped prunes and remaining ingredients
in blender and whip until smooth.
Banana Mud Pie
1 banana
½ cup chocolate
milk
¼ tsp vanilla
essence
How
to cook:
1)
Refrigerate the banana until frozen.
2)
Blend the frozen banana with chocolate milk and vanilla
essence until smooth.
3)
Serve it immediately.
Banana-Berry
Fruit Smoothie
½ pear, cored
¼ cup frozen blueberries or frozen mixed berries
½ banana, frozen
1¼ cup water
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs skim milk powder
1 tsp flax oil (optional)
How to cook:
In a blender, process all the
ingredients until thoroughly mixed and serve.
