to get benefit from juice?
Fresh vegetable juices have been shown
to contain remarkable health-promoting properties. And it has been
used by naturopaths to cure a wide variety of body ailments. Freshly
squeezed vegetable juices possess natural minerals, vitamins and
enzymes which are have much more health benefits than taking in
synthetic tablets. The naturally occurring substances in the
vegetable juice can be absorbed by the body into the bloodstream
easily and reach your body cells within 15 minutes after drinking
the juice. There are many benefits of vegetable juicing and this
article is going to discuss a few of them.
Nowadays more and more people are
turning to juice therapy to help them cure their health benefits. It
is very true that fruits and vegetables have unique characteristics
that help our bodies grow, fight of diseases and remain strong. The
National Cancer Institute is encouraging people to eat more fruits
and vegetables, the recommended diet being five servings of fruit
and three servings of vegetables a day. However people are not doing
this and in poorer countries you will discover that some people
spend days without even consuming any vegetables.
Medicines to treat diseases such as
breast cancer, cancer of the colon, stomach, rectum, esophagus,
ovaries, and lungs, are being developed using chemicals that are
found in plants, vegetables and fruits. Theses chemicals are called
phytochemicals and they help prevent or cure a lot of diseases.
It’s impossible to do justice to the benefits of vegetable juicing
as already nutritionists have linked vegetables and fruits to
preventing some of the most deadly diseases such as cancer, heart
disease, asthma, allergies and arthritis
Epidemiological studies in the last
decade have clearly shown the benefits of consuming and drinking
vegetables & vegetable juice. The research compared results of
communities that had a rich diet of vegetable and that which had a
poor vegetable diet. The studies, were done in Africa, China, the
Mediterranean and Russia, and it was noted that in cultures where
the diet consists of fruits and vegetables, making it high in both
carbohydrates and fiber, a number of diseases that affect Americans
do not exist in the countries under study.
British researchers working in
Africa
did not find a single case of such common ailments as
diverticulitis, cancer of the colon, or cancer of the prostate.
There could not find any other reason to explain the above
phenomenon except link it to the difference in diet.
A tomato is a very healthy vegetable and
contains a lot of vitamin A, vitamin C, and several minerals that
have health benefits to the body. Tomatoes also have over 10,000
other chemicals in them which research is still investigating.
Broccoli has a substance that may prevent or cure breast cancer.
Most green vegetables have
phytochemicals that can protect our bodies against cancer-causing
substances. Eating three servings of bok, broccoli, brussels
sprouts, choy, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, collards, kale,
kohlrabi, mustard greens, rutabaga, turnip greens, red beets,
peppers, garlic, onions and leeks will keep you strong and health.
However eating the vegetables raw is not
always convenient for everyone. Sometimes you just do not have the
time to prepare vegetable juice early in the morning before work.
The good thing about vegetable juice is that you can prepare it and
store it in a cool place and have it quickly in the morning or when
it suits you. Drinking vegetable juice is also much better than
eating the vegetables raw because the vegetable juice is liquid and
will be absorbed by the body much quicker than solid food.
The benefits of juicing have been well
explained by many others and so I am not going to go into the
benefits of juicing in any great detail.
In fact, I would prefer not to even talk
about the benefits of juicing because as each person is an
individual, each person will have different results. In addition,
when a person is solely focused on the benefits of juicing, then
they will only get disappointed when the benefits do not happen.
When you juice because you enjoy
drinking fresh vegetable juice, then any benefits you obtain will be
a bonus because if you ask me, drinking something that tastes great
and is nutritious is benefit enough.
There are some
significant benefits to making your own fresh juice:

The
juice is fresh. Therefore, it's full of live enzymes which help
the body.

When
juice is fresh, it hasn't been pasteurized. Unfortunately,
although pasteurization has saved many lives, it has also
brought on its own problems such as nutritionally dead foods.
Vegetables juices in cans or boxes have been pasteurized. The
high heat required for pasteurization destroys vital nutrients
within the juice. Many vegetable juices you buy will have a
nutritional analysis on the can, but unfortunately, these are
done before pasteurization. By making your own fresh juice, you
avoid the pasteurization process.

It’s
easier to drink more vegetables than you can eat! We all know
how important vegetables are to the human body, but
unfortunately; it's not always possible to eat as many
vegetables as we should. Drinking fresh vegetable juice helps
take care of this problem.

make digestion and assimilation of nutrition easier. Believe it
or not, but your body is essentially a juice machine. When you
eat a carrot, your body will digest the carrot by extracting the
juice to get the nutrition. The body then sends the fiber to the
colon and you know what happens next! But by juicing, you
extract the juice for the body thus making it easier for your
body to assimilate the nutrition as your body doesn't need to
break down the fruit or vegetable. It's still important to eat
whole vegetables and fruits because you need the fiber as well.

years old.

Many parents fall into the trap of
serving too many sugary juice drinks to their children. However,
100% juice can be a healthy part of your child's diet and can serve
as one fruit serving. Follow these simple guidelines to make sure
you're serving 100% juice to your child:

Carefully read nutrition labels, and
always look for 100% juice, such as JUICY JUICE. If it's not
100%, it's not the best for your child.

Be wary of products that contain words
like "ade", "beverage," "cocktail"
or “drink" in the name. These words indicate that a
product is not 100% juice. For example, many "fruit juice
drinks" contain only 10% fruit juice, and often are packed
with added sugars, artificial sweeteners, preservatives and
artificial flavors.
