How
to make a delicious fresh juice?
Making
juice is an art form that can be mastered if you pay attention to a
few important details. Remember to always use fresh and cold
ingredients. Clean up is easier, a big plus if you are busy person.
Juice uses less food so less expensive and extracts more nutrients.
It’s also more palatable because it is blended with water. A big
plus is you can extract nutrients from products that you can't use
in an ordinary juicer, like dates and raisins and herbs. This is a
better way to juice!
Things
You'll Need
v
A
magic bullet blender.
v
Fine
screen hand strainer.
v
Wide
mouth pitcher with pour spouts.
Steps
That You Have To Take
Step
One
Start
with the 16 ounce container on the magic bullet OR use a standard
blender. I like the bullet because it minimizes the interaction of
oxygen with the food like a standard juicer or blender thereby
making a less oxidized juice! Fill the container a third full with
ANY food you want to extract nutrients from.
Step
Two
Now put
in just enough water to cover and blend into a puree. Then fill with
as much water as juice you want and "WASH" the puree to
free the nutrients.
Step
Three
Pour
this into the hand strainer over the wide mouth pitcher. With a
quick motion back and forth like turning a key in a lock, all of the
juice will filter out. Now go in a circular motion to bring it into
a "ball".
Step
Four
Make
sure your hands are clean and "press" the ball to remove
remaining juice. Throw pulp into compost bin and wash strainer and
blender. Juice is ready and everything is clean! It’s so much
easier then any juicer. Easier to drink when you get into the really
nutrient dense foods like parsley or beets. You also get more water
this way which most people I know don't get enough of.
Overall
Tips & Warnings
v
Ok,
you can now use any basic juice as a base instead of water to make
"blended nutritional drinks”. I also add Celtic Sea Salt
(course) to vegetable juices. You can extract nutrients from foods
that juicers can't touch. Like Medjool Dates. Full of potassium for
your heart.
v
Herbs
are hard in a regular juicer, but blended with water they are
awesome! I use chicken broth and different vegetables when I am in a
hurry...I have fallen in love with this method and carry my stuff
with me when I travel. Takes hardly any room but makes a big
difference in the way you feel when on the road. You are only
limited by your imagination about what you can make.
v
Use
green tea instead of water. Carrot juice won't stain teeth when
watered down. You will make juice more often because it is easier.
Blend all kinds of foods to make stuff you won't taste anywhere
else. Use the rinds of squash to get the best anti-oxidants you will
find anywhere on the planet! Also blend whole lemons with water, sea
salt and small amount of castile soap (Doc Bronners) to make a
non-toxic soap that is awesome and good for your health.
v
Use
different fruits like strawberries. the salt preserves the fruit and
it lasts a long time without going bad !!..Have fun
experimenting...try one of EVERY food in the produce section.
Especially the organics!!
v
Be
sure to research any plants you are not sure of before ingesting. If
using the entire product (rinds, seeds, etc) be sure to wash or
remove core if needed (apples). Be sure to rinse everything
thoroughly after every use. Even if you are in a short time. Be
aware of any food allergies you might have.
v
Use
fresh fruit and juices in fruit drinks whenever possible.
v
Keep
fruit and juices in the refrigerator.
